On track with Jayair.

As many of you know CoolDrive sponsors Tim Blanchard in his Formula Ford racing career, he was previously in Go-Karts and is now in Formula Ford. This year he has been contesting the National Formula Ford Championship for the first time, with the aim of having a serious attempt at it next year. He has been steadily improving during the year with the last race having achieved his best result second outright. Next year’s series will be televised, so you will be able to follow his progress on Channel 7. Formula Ford is breeding ground for nearly every V8 Supercar driver and this is where Tim hopes it will lead for him. Recently prior to Bathurst, Ford Australia, who sponsors the series, decided to hold a promotional day revolving around some of the Formula Ford drivers who have come up the ranks of Formula Ford, and they organised a track day at Sandown with Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup. The Jayair Formula For is always well presented and we were given the honour of being asked if we were happy to provide our car for the day, which involved Craig and Jamie doing some laps of Sandown for the cameras (see photo above). And of course history records that Craig and Jamie went on to win the Bathurst 1000 a couple of weeks later. It is nice to include Craig and Jamie in the Jayair winning team.
